What actually happens
Nobody reads slides at you for two hours.
The clock runs the room. Every part of it ends before anyone gets comfortable, which is the point.
- 3:00 pm Doors, and one line each Your name, what you're building, what you need from this room. One line. Everyone gets through it in ten minutes.
- 3:15 pm Three builders, five minutes each Not a deck. The actual thing on a screen: the app, the shop, the spreadsheet that quietly runs a business.
- 3:40 pm The hot seat One person puts their hardest problem on the board. The whole room goes at it for twenty minutes. Most people leave with an answer they had not thought of.
- 4:05 pm Build it in the open We take one idea from the room and get something working on the screen before the clock runs out, usually with AI doing the boring half.
- 4:30 pm Open floor and chai The half hour where the real introductions happen. This is the part people stay for.

People who have already done the hard part once, and do not mind saying out loud how it went. Some of them are hiring. Most of them are curious.

Is it really free?
Yes. No ticket, no fee, nothing to buy in the room. Register anyway, so we know how many chairs to put out and how much chai to make.
Do I need to have a startup?
No. An idea you cannot stop thinking about is enough. Plenty of people turn up with a question rather than a company, and leave with the beginning of an answer.
What if I do not know anybody there?
Almost nobody does on their first Saturday. The room opens with one line from each person for exactly this reason: by 3:15 you already know who to talk to.
Can I show what I am building?
Yes. Tick the box in the form. There are three slots each meetup and we pick from the people who asked, so ask early.
What if I miss one?
The next one is fourteen days later, same room, same time. The date at the top of this page is always the next one, so you never have to ask.
Can students come?
Yes, and they should. Students who can actually build things are exactly who the founders in the room are looking for.
Should I bring a laptop?
If you are building something, bring it. The last hour is far better when you can put the thing on a screen instead of describing it.
